Hed: ORBIS Donates to Adriel

Subhead: Funds Support Basketball Program

WEST LIBERTY, OH – The ORBIS Corporation of Urbana recently donated $3500 to the Adriel Basketball Program. Jill Shoemaker, Human Resource Manager for ORBIS, stated that the company supports several local community, nonprofit, and educational organizations. In addition to providing funding for various programs, the company also has an active volunteer program.

Terri McGarry, Regional Coordinator of Advancement for Adriel, said that the basketball program makes a tremendous impact on the youth that are served through Adriel’s residential and foster care programs. In addition to teaching discipline and teamwork, participation in the program helps the youth develop self esteem and respect for others. Donations to the program are used to provide each of the players with a pair of basketball shoes and shooting shirts, as well as to purchase equipment and help with the cost of transportation to games.
