Adriel believes that mental health treatment for the youth served is an essential part of promoting wellness. Adriel therapists work closely with the youth, parent/guardian, caseworker, teaching parents, and any other persons involved in the case to provide highly individualized treatment for each child.

Adriel provides individual, group, and family therapy with master’s level therapists.

The goal of therapy is to empower youth to achieve their short and long term goals and improve coping skills. When children leave the program, Adriel works to link them to services and resources in their communities.

Approach to Treatment
Adriel provides services based on trauma informed care principles. Therapeutic interventions are based on the individual needs of the child. They include, but are not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Biofeedback, Family Therapy, Social Skills Group Therapy, Affective Education and Expressive Therapy Groups, as well as 24-hour, seven days per week crisis management assistance.

Pharmacological Management Services
Pharmacological Management (med-som) services are also provided by Adriel. A consulting psychiatrist is available to provide consultation and monitoring of psychotropic medications for the youth. In addition, Adriel has a full-time licensed/registered nurse on staff and on call 24-hours a day. The nurse provides oversight to medications for each youth along with special dietary and medical issues experienced by youth in Adriel placement.

Other Clinical Services
Adriel is also developing Case Management/Transitional Services, individualized for each child. Case managers will assist with discharge planning and linkage to services that will help ease the transition back into the community.
