Are you providing kinship care for a child that is in the custody of a public children services agency (PCSA)?  Kinship caregivers are able to become licensed foster caregivers and receive benefits as a foster home.

If you choose to provide kinship/foster care...

  • Provide a loving home for other children in need.
  • Offer respite services to fellow foster families.
  • Individuals receive up to $360 of paid training.
  • Receive a $300 sign on bonus once licensed. 

 If you choose to provide kinship-only foster care*...

  • Care will only be available for the kin placed in your home.
  • Up to 19 training hours waived.
  • Individuals receive up to $170 of paid training.
  • Receive a $100 sign on bonus once licensed. 

 *The requirements for kinship to foster care homes are subject to change based on the guidance of state rules and regulations.
