Foster Care Therapy: Clinical Support Services
In order to support placements and build skills within the youths, Adriel offers an array of counseling and foster care therapy services delivered by licensed professionals who have the best interests of the children and caregivers in mind. Youths have access to case management, individual, group, and family therapy.
Individual Foster Care Therapy
Individual therapy is arranged through the foster parents, and goals are established with a team approach. The focus is on skill-building and the identification and usage of pro-social coping skills.
Group Therapy for Youths in Foster Care
Groups are focused on social skill building and independent living skills. In order to best meet the needs of kids and foster families, we offer group foster care therapy services in person and/or via telehealth.
Case Management Therapy for Youths and Foster Families
Case Management reinforces the skills being worked on in individual or group foster care therapy and provides additional support to the youth and their foster families.
Family Foster Care Therapy
We also provide grief and loss services to families struggling with the effects of fostering on their family, or specific to a disrupted foster care placement or adoption.
Continuity of Care After Reunification
When youths are reunified with their primary family or a kinship placement is made, we continue our foster care therapy counseling services in an effort to support children and their families and stabilize their home environment. This continuity of care allows for some stability and familiarity for youths who are in the midst of an emotionally challenging transition.
